Holiday Wish List

The Rules:

-Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
-If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
-Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
-Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
-If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My List:
I'm not gonna fake-cut this, because it's short.  Actually, let me explain - I'm incredibly fortunate that there is very little I need or want in a materialistic way (which is why doing the LJ Christmas thing for others is one of my favorite things in life!)  However, I do have an incredibly talented flist, so here's the deal:  if anyone chooses to bless me with their considerable talents, I will do everything in my power to grant a wish on that person's list.  That means you gotta make a list, 'course!  Those of you who knew me last Christmas know that this isn't me bragging or making empty promises to get what I want.  If I can do it, you'll get it.  Promise!  NOW:  those intangibles I mentioned that would make me oh-so-VERY happy:

1)  I would dearly love a mood theme of my very own (and maybe some tips on how to put it to use?)  Could be from any one of my fandoms, of which there are many:  D&J, HSM, Twilight, Firefly, HIMYM, W&G ... hell, there's not much I don't fangirl over!

2)  SMUT.  Nope, not ashamed.  Hey, I'm asking for what I want, right?  Right now, I've got a particular jones for rpf - especially Robert Pattinson/K. Stewart from Twilight, and Drake Bell/Josh Peck.  But hey - look over my profile and see if anything strikes your fancy!

3)  Links to some truly fun and creative online sellers - particularly crafty/handmade plush, little-known bakeries that will ship their goods, and super-cool/indie tshirts are my favorite things to shop for online right now.  But I get tired of my collection of sites, and suck at searching effectively.

4)  Quirky Christmas songs I can download.  Not your average overplayed stuff, songs more like FOB's "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out."  I found such great ones from you guys last yr, but my hard-drive completely crashed over the summer.  Links to individual songs, or even your own personal playlist you're willing to share.

That's it, y'all.  And whether you can fill a wish or not, I do hope my flist will send me links to THEIR wish lists - that's my final wish, actually.  Let me see your lists so I can share the love this Christmas!

Thanks, darlin'. Fixed now.
